Anne Poulet: Shouky Shaheen Lecturer

Anne Litle Poulet, former director of The Frick Collection in New York, will deliver a Visiting Artist and Scholar lecture entitled “A Gallery of Worthies: Thomas Jefferson and Jean Antoine Houdon.” Poulet has had 30 years of experience in the art world and for two decades, she ran the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s department of European Decorative Arts and Sculpture, of which she is currently Curator Emerita. While at the MFA, Poulet was responsible for a number of important acquisitions. She was instrumental in bringing the Firestone Collection of French silver; the Frits and Rita Markus Collection of European ceramics and enamels; the William A. Coolidge Collection of European paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts; and the Edward Pflueger Collection of European ceramics to the museum. She also directed the publication of eight catalogues of the permanent collection.
