Free Living Well Workshop Training

Two Opportunities to Teach Living Well Workshops in Northeast Georgia

We are currently recruiting lay leaders to teach Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) workshops. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is an evidence-based program developed by researchers at Stanford University. As a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program lay leader you would be trained to lead workshops, which cover subjects such as medication management, communication skills, problem solving, goal setting, handling difficult emotions, healthy eating, and physical activity. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program workshops are taught by 2 trained lay leaders, and the 2 1/2 hour (including breaks) workshops are held once a week over 6 weeks in various community settings. This summer we have two lay leader trainings scheduled. These trainings are FREE of charge, but participants will need to bring their own lunch. No prior experience is necessary!

The first training will be held on:

July 9, July 10, July 16, and July 17 from 9 AM - 4:30 PM at the Church of the Advent in Madison, GA (338 Academy Street Madison, GA 30650).
