Community Names Jerry Cash as Marina Manager
Greensboro, Ga. – Harbor Club has announced the opening of a 72-slip dry stack boat storage facility, the finishing touch on the community’s transformation of the old Granite Shoals Marina into a polished and modern lakefront amenity on Lake Oconee called The Boathouse.
The Boathouse opened to the public in the spring of 2014 and features a restaurant, general store, banquet room, lakefront deck, watercraft rental, boat fueling, community dock and a parklike lawn for lazing or recreating.

The dry storage slips at The Boathouse can accommodate boats up to 27 feet in length and can be rented on an annual basis. They are available to both Harbor Club property owners and surrounding residents. There are plans to ultimately develop up to 300 dry storage slips at The Boathouse, which would make it the largest marina on Lake Oconee. The marina will offer shrink wrap services for the winter storage of boats.
Jerry Cash Appointed Marina Manager
Overseeing the new boat storage facility and all marina operations at The Boathouse is newly appointed marina manager, Jerry Cash. Cash will be responsible for managing and promoting the membership in the storage facility, while also supervising the usage of marine fuel pumps, community dock and boat ramp, and all contracted watercraft rental services.
Cash has nearly a decade of experience in marina operations, having most recently served as assistant manager at Little River Marina on Lake Allatoona in Canton, Ga., a sprawling facility which has 327 dry stack slips and 132 wet slips.
Prior to that, Cash served four years in the military, stationed at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Ga. Cash was deployed to Iraq from 2005-2006 where he served in combat duty and convoy logistics. A native of Los Angeles, Cash now lives in Atlanta with his wife Andrea and three-year old daughter.
The Boathouse is located just outside of Harbor Club’s east gate at 3991 Walkers Church Road, a mile south of the Richland Connector. It is situated on the Richland Creek side of Lake Oconee, known for the clearest waters on the lake. By boat it is roughly three miles north of the Ritz-Carton Lodge.
Marina storage hours are 9-5 weekdays and 9-6 on weekends (closed Tuesday). For more information on The Boathouse at Harbor Club marina storage and boat launch operations call their direct line at 706-817-7330.
