Man Reports Robbery Near Mad Hatter

A man told police that he was attacked by four men near the Mad Hatter Bar on Clayton Street, according to an Athens-Clarke County Police press release. 

The man told police that he was walking in the 400 block of Clayton Street toward Mad Hatter when four males emerged from the alley way and jumped him. The man said he was beaten with a club and became unconscious. He said several things were missing from his wallet, and was unable to provide any further description of his assailants. 

The investigation is ongoing.
