More than $4,000 in Damages Caused at Vacant Duplexes

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

An Athens man reported the end of his Robert Hardeman Road mobile home was shot with a pellet gun. The damage was estimated at $1,000. This occurred between 8 a.m. August 4 and 11:30 a.m. August 5.

Between midnight August 1 and 4 p.m. August 5 three vacant North Bluff Road duplexes owned by Hidden Pines Duplexes, 122 N Bluff Rd, were damaged. One unit had damage estimated at $1,300 to the walls and carpet. A second unit had damage estimated at $1,520 to the walls, a door, windows, and outlets. Windows, walls, and the floor were damaged in a third unit; this was estimated to be $1,600. Suspects were named.

THEFT BY TAKING

A 2003 Dodge Durango owned by an Athens woman was stolen from her Dublin Street residence between 7:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. August 5. The truck is grey, with Georgia tag PII1392, and is valued at $9,000.

A Sussex Drive resident reported rims and tires valued at $3,500 stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at an Atlanta Highway automotive business. The theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. August 4 and 8 a.m. August 5. The resident had reported an attempt to steal the rims and tires on August 4.
