UGA Senior Diagnosed With Brain Tumor Living Her 'Final Days'
"Please pray for Liza's continued peace and comfort and that she forever lives every dream she ever imagined," the family said.
JACKSONVILLE, FLA — The family of a University of Georgia senior who suffered brain hemorrhage while on spring break in Mexico and was diagnosed with a brain tumor has decided to stop her radiation treatments.
According to a GoFundMe for Liza Burke, the family has decided to "pursue providing Liza a send-off like only she deserves."
"Tonight we began the hunt for the perfect place by the sea where Liza can enjoy her final days supported by infinite love that surrounds her. If I could, I would hang onto Liza and follow her. But since I can't, please continue your prayers for our Sleeping Warrior and for all of us who will never fully fill the void that will be left in her wake," Burke's mom, Laura, wrote in an April 18 update.

Burke and her friends were in Cabo San Lucas, where she laid down for a nap and was later found unconscious by her boyfriend, according to the GoFundMe. She had been complaining of a headache.
She was diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation and put on life support by doctors in Mexico. She was flown to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., for treatment in mid-March.
