ATLANTA, GA — Police on Sunday released video footage after they say a man accused of pointing a gun at someone in a funeral home was arrested during a chase in Atlanta.
The body and dash camera footage shows the arrest of 41-year-old Donnie Harber, Atlanta Police said Sunday.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute around 5:30 p.m., April 18, at a funeral home, police said.
During the incident, police said Harber had pointed a gun at someone in the funeral home.
When they arrived, officers found Harber driving a white Ford pickup truck, police said. Harber was accused of being involved in the dispute.
He tried to flee the scene after officers arrived, but APD supervisors requested a traffic stop on the truck, police said.
Harber refused to stop, and instead drove "recklessly through a parking lot" and drove north on Lawton Avenue, police said.
They accused him of heading westbound on Westview Avenue, ignoring traffic signals and "brake-checking officers" in efforts to cause a crash.
Officers ultimately executed a PIT maneuver on I-20 westbound and arrested Harber, police said.
He was medically cleared and taken to the Fulton County Jail, where he faced charges of aggravated assault with a gun and possession of a scale used for narcotics distribution, police said.
Fulton County Jail records on Monday showed Harber additionally faced charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer during the commission of certain crimes, reckless driving, driving - improper/erratic lane change, driving - failure to signal lane change or turn, selling, possessing, distributing or other offenses associated with ecstasy and purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana.
He received a combined $3,000 bond on some charges but continued to be held on others, jail records showed.
