Crispy Chicken, Vegan Ice Cream Offered At 5 New GA Restaurants

Patch has compiled details of new restaurants that have opened in metro Atlanta.

The Peach State now has more offers for dining and vibing with loved ones thanks to five new restaurants that either will open or have opened recently in Georgia.

These group of eateries represent diversity in taste and influences, dishing out flavors to satisfy the sweet tooth and an appetite for authentic savory meals.

Patch has compiled details of new restaurants that have opened or will open in metro Atlanta:

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Peachtree Corners

Where: 5143 Peachtree Parkway NW (Coming soon: 4505 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta)

Product or Service: Dairy-free and vegan ice cream. More than 30 signature flavors, including vanilla bean, honeycomb, Sicilian pistachio, Marionberry cheesecake, praline butter cake and Earl grey tea. Sundaes, housemade-waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches, root beer floats, milkshakes and pints.

Amenities: Merchandise for sale, local delivery, gift cards, event and party packs and nationwide shipping.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday-Sunday. Opening Thursday.

"We're so excited to be opening at The Forum and continuing to grow in Atlanta," Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, said in a news release. "We've always believed that great ice cream starts with great ingredients, like pistachios from Bronte, Sicily, hazelnuts from Piedmont, sun-ripened Oregon strawberries and more. That's how we've made ice cream since we started with one scoop truck in New York City in 2008, and we can't wait to share it with even more people here."

Chick-fil-A, Cartersville

Where: 2000 Hwy. 20

Product or Service: Grilled and fried chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, kale crunch, salads, waffle fries, hash brown scramble bowl, chicken and sausage biscuits, berry parfait and dipping sauce varieties.

Amenities: Dine-in, carry-out and mobile-thru.

Hours of operation: 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

“Cartersville is a diverse, vibrant and welcoming community, and I’m honored to open our doors here,” owner-operator Alex Gomez said in a news release. “My career was greatly impacted by people who believed in me and gave me opportunities to grow. My hope is that this restaurant will be a place where team members feel cared for, invested in and challenged to reach their full potential, the same way I was, while serving every guest with genuine care.”

Sargent, Atlanta

Where: Historic Old Fourth Ward

Product or Service: American dishes crafted using wood-fired skills

Amenities: Restaurant and a bookstore.

Hours of operation: Slated to open in July. (operated by Lucian Books and Wine)

“We’ve been thinking about expansion for a while,” Katie Barringer, co-owner of the restaurant, told Eater Atlanta. “(Sargent) will be in a super vibrant neighborhood, it’s very central and it’s named after an artist that we love.”

Bottle Rocket Fine Food and Beverage, Atlanta

Where: 231 Mitchell St., Downtown (relocation)

Product or Service: Fried rice, chicken wings, Bottle Rocket black angus burger, tuna burger, marinaded flatiron steak, poke bowls, fried tofu, spicy salmon, sushi rolls, lemon pepper catfish sliders, draft beers, vodka tea, seltzers and wine.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday and 11-2 a.m. Monday-Saturday.

“This new space doesn’t change who we are — it improves what we started," co-owner Josh Calvin said in a June 14 Instagram post. "It gives us the room to do everything we’ve wanted to do but simply couldn’t before — both for our guests and our team. We finally have the breathing room to bring the full Bottle Rocket vision to life.”

Joupe Jeht, Kennesaw

Where: 3055 N. Main St. NW, Ste. 105

Product or Service: Chicken or beef sticks, spring rolls, pork stew, chicken curry, pork or chicken nom pao, chicken teriyaki bowl, stir-fried noodles with chicken and veggies in a savory-sweet sauce and mango or coconut sticky rice.

Amenities: Online ordering, catering and take-out.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
