ATLANTA, GA — A 43-year-old man was arrested Sunday in connection with the July 4 shooting death of another man at Pryor Street Southwest, Atlanta Police said.
Investigators on Sunday obtained probable cause warrants to arrest Jeffery Carter in connection with the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man in the 300 block of Pryor.
Officers responded to Pryor around 1:15 p.m. and found the man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound underneath a bridge, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not identify the man.
However, police did identify two suspects - one of which they say is a female seen walking away from the scene wearing a brown top, black pants, a blonde and black wig and black and white sneakers.
Carter was identified as the second suspect and was arrested on charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail without incident.
A motive in the shooting was not revealed.
