When officers responded to the person shot call, police said they learned the woman had been privately taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

While at the hospital, police said they found the unresponsive woman receiving treatment.

However, despite life-saving attempts, medical staff pronounced the woman dead. She was not identified.

APD's Fugitive Unit and the FBI Violent Crime Task Force arrested Haugabook, who police said was taken to the APD headquarters for interviewing and processing.

Haugabook will be formally charged, police said. A motive in the shooting was not revealed.
