The trend of daily summertime storms remains constant as the forecast calls for lightning and other concerns this week in Georgia, where a flash flood warning was issued.
The National Weather Service predicted a daily chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms through at least Monday.
A flash flood warning was issued for southeastern Cobb County and central Fulton County until 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Weather officials say a Doppler radar pinged heavy rain-producing thunderstorms in these areas, where between 1 inch and 2.5 inches of rain have already dropped.
Potentially, 1-2 additional inches of rain could fall, the NWS reported.

Rainfall amounts could reach at least a quarter of an inch Tuesday in Atlanta, according to the NWS. In the north and central region, frequent lightning and gusty winds could also be concerning this week.
The greatest chances for storms will be Tuesday and Thursday, with the probability tapering by the weekend. Few of the systems may become strong to severe.
The moisture will be accompanied by 85- to 90-degree temperatures, according to the forecast. This makes for hot days as students head back to school in Georgia.
