ATLANTA, GA — The cow is bringing moor chicken - but, this time, waffles are being added to the mix.
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A on Wednesday announced chicken and waffles and s'mores-inspired beverages will soon be added to the menu.
The limited-edition items are part of the popular restaurant's 80th-year celebration campaign, dubbed "Newstalgia." They will be available nationally, starting Aug. 24.
Since January, Chick-fil-A has offered free food for a year and has made frosted sodas and floats permanent on its menu.

"In this year of Newstalgia-inspired celebrations, we wanted to bring something unique this fall by reimagining the comforting flavors our guests crave this time of year, delivering a taste that feels both familiar and new to appeal to all ages," Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging for Chick-fil-A, said in a news release.
"Both chicken and waffles and s'mores are much-loved classics, and we challenged ourselves to bring those flavors to our menu in a playful and unexpected way. After seeing the incredible response and excitement from guests in our test markets, we couldn't wait to share these flavors nationwide."
Sandwiched between two maple-flavored waffles, Chick-fil-A's signature filet will meet three strips of applewood smoked bacon and honey butter. Of course, it will come with a side of syrup.
The filets will be available in original, spicy or grilled flavors.
The chicken and waffles will be available as a smaller portion for breakfast and a larger portion for lunch and dinner.
Additionally, toasted marshmallow, graham crackers and chocolate will combine to make s'mores milkshakes and s'mores frosted coffees.
Both will feature Chick-fil-A's Icedream dessert, chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles.
Marshmallow-flavored syrup and marshmallow-flavored whipped topping will accompany the milkshake.
The frosted coffee will be a blend of custom cold-brew coffee.
