Sushi, Shawarma Offered At 5 New GA Restaurants

Patch has compiled details of new restaurants that will open soon in Georgia.

Four new restaurants will soon open, and a fifth known eatery is reportedly rebuilding after a disastrous fire.

Asian inspirations, an Italian ice-forward menu and eclectic styles will form five of Georgia's latest restaurants.

NoriFish, Atlanta

Where: 675 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Central Food Hall, Ponce City Market (also has locations in Buckhead and Sandy Springs)

Cuisine Type: Japanese.

Product or Service: Made-to-order hand rolls, signature sushi rolls, Japanese small plates, craft cocktails, sake, local and Japanese lagers and wines.

Amenities: Online reservations, events and gift cards.

Hours of operation: Not immediately available. Opening Friday, Aug. 28.

"NoriFish is a chef-driven sushi concept that blends omakase tradition with a modern, shareable approach to dining. Featuring fish flown in from Tokyo's Toyosu Fish Market, the menu highlights thoughtfully seasoned sushi, nigiri and small plates designed for balance and flavor. Rooted in precision and quality, NoriFish offers a refined yet approachable take on contemporary sushi," read the Ponce City Market's website.

Okiboru, Atlanta

Where: 675 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Central Food Hall, Ponce City Market (also has locations in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Duluth and Buford)

Cuisine Type: Japanese.

Product or Service: Tsukemen (dipping noodles) and ramen with collagen-rich broths and house-made noodles, rice, cocktails, sake, lagers, craft beers and teas.

Amenities: Online ordering.

Hours of operation: Not immediately available. Opening Friday, Aug. 28.

"I've always believed you can respect Japanese tradition while still finding ways to make it your own," Co-founder and Chef Sean Park said in a news release sent to Patch. "That's really what these two concepts represent. NoriFish is our expression of sushi, and Okiboru is our take on ramen and tsukemen. We've spent years refining both, and we're excited to finally share them together at Ponce City Market."

Noori Food Hall, Lilburn

Where: 3879 Wentworth Lane SW

Cuisine Type: Various.

Product or Service: Pizzas, burgers, chicken wings, shawarma, coffee and ice cream.

Jeremiah's Italian Ice, Woodstock

Where: 12186 Highway 92

Cuisine Type: Frozen treats.

Product or Service: Jelati, ice cream sandwiches, cakes and "flavorites" that blend ice cream with Italian ice and layers (salted caramel cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, s'more, sugar cookie, caramel apple and Oreo mud pie)

Amenities: Patio and indoor seating, a rewards program, catering, online shop and online ordering.

Hours of operation: Not immediately available.

Chin Chin Chen Asian Fusion, Marietta

Where: 3030 Johnson Ferry Road (a rebuild and relocation after a fire)

Cuisine Type: Asian fusion.

Product or Service: Homemade dumplings, ramen, Boba milk tea, passion fruit green tea and fried pork buns.

Amenities: Not immediately available.

Hours of operation: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the soft opening, which will be held from Sept. 1-5.

"Our restaurant has truly risen from the ashes," owner Jasmine Chen told East Cobb News.
