Gun-toting man wounded, tells police he got into an argument (wsbtv.com) β Atlanta police say a 33-year-old man carrying a gun was shot near Washington Park Saturday morning after an argument, then detained and taken to the hospital alert and breathing. Officers collected his weapon and other evidence at 102 Ollie St. NW, and the shooting remains under investigation with K-9 units and crime scene technicians involved.

Hungry Goats Help Uncover Historic Black Cemetery in Georgia (nbcpalmsprings.com) β Volunteers in College Park, just outside Atlanta, are using a herd of goats to clear kudzu from a long-neglected historic Black cemetery behind Mount Calvary Baptist Church. The One Square Mile Project and Red Wagon Goats are uncovering graves of local African American leaders, seeking community, government, and even airport support for a restoration that could top $1 million.

Atlanta Beltline deadly stabbing: Family, friends hold vigil for 29-year-old victim, call for change (wsbtv.com) β Loved ones gathered at Freedom Park to honor 29-year-old Ramon Harris, who was fatally stabbed along the Atlanta BeltLine nearly a week ago. Friends and family remembered his creativity and kindness while demanding changes after learning the suspect, who reportedly struggles with severe mental illness, has a long arrest history and remains jailed without bond.

Michael Harris II's clutch double enables Braves to drop Rockies (statenews.net) β Atlanta baseball fans just saw the Braves extend their win streak to six games, thanks to Michael Harris II's clutch two-run double in the eighth against the Rockies. A young bullpen arm, Didier Fuentes, shut the door in the ninth, preserving a tight 2-1 home victory after a rain-delayed start and a night of strong pitching on both sides.
