1. Iconic 'MIDTOWN' letters return to Atlanta after 5-year hiatus (wsbtv.com) — Midtown residents can now visit the newly installed oversized "MIDTOWN" letters at Midtown Green, a four-acre public space on 14th Street that just opened its temporary phase. The colorful 8-foot-tall letters, fabricated by local studio Arc Design, mark the northern edge of the greenspace while Midtown Alliance plans a larger, long-term art- and activity-focused attraction.
   

2. Ga. Rideshare driver shot by passenger during drop-off (wrdw.com) — A rideshare driver was shot by a passenger during an argument early Sunday in southwest Atlanta, then managed to drive to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. The suspect is still at large, and local rideshare drivers say the attack highlights serious safety risks they face on Atlanta streets, especially because company rules bar them from carrying weapons while passengers may be armed.
   

3. Quavo Takes Over WWE Sunday Night's Main Event With Live Performance (wrestlezone.com) — Quavo kicked off WWE Sunday Night's Main Event with a live performance at State Farm Arena in his hometown of Atlanta, giving local fans a first listen to his unreleased track "Backwards." The brief set, complete with a cash-filled shopping cart entrance, was a test run for WWE's plans to add more concert-style performances to major shows hosted in cities like Atlanta.
   

4. New facility coming to metro Atlanta, bringing 140 jobs and high-tech robotics (wsbtv.com) — A new Parts Town Unlimited distribution center in Pendergrass, northeast of Atlanta, will bring more than 140 jobs and high-tech robotics to the metro area by year's end. The 538,450-square-foot, LEED-certified facility aims to deliver parts to 93% of the U.S. within two days, with metro Atlanta customers gaining options for same-day delivery or pickup.
   

5. Former Georgia U.S. attorney joins Delta Air Lines as top lawyer (wsbtv.com) — Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines has hired former U.S. Attorney Byung J. "BJay" Pak as its senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Pak, who previously prosecuted major cases and served in the Georgia House, once worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in Atlanta and now returns to a prominent leadership role with one of the city's largest employers.
