A 13-year-old boy has been shot for the second time in Atlanta, a media report says.

ATLANTA, GA — A 13-year-old boy was shot for the second time in over a year early Sunday morning in the 900 block of Hank Aaron Drive Southeast, according to police and media reports.

The boy, who was alert and breathing, was taken to a hospital for his injuries, police said.

The boy's family told WAGA-TV that Sunday was the second time he had been shot at the home. A shooting in September 2025 also injured him, the family said in the report.

"We're not sleeping here," Asia Battle, the boy's sister, told the news outlet regarding Sunday's shooting. "I was still scared to even walk by the window when police showed up."

A motive has not been released. APD's Major Crimes Unit is investigating the case.
