Two of them, So. Fox in Atlanta (American cuisine) and Uberto Restaurant in Gay (contemporary cuisine), are now first-time one-star Michelin recipients, according to a news release on Thursday.
The guide, in its second year, was revealed during a ceremony Wednesday evening at the Pinnacle in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
In addition to the two Georgia restaurants, Dakar NOLA in New Orleans also received a one-star.
Fourteen new Bib Gourmands and 31 new recommended restaurants are now part of the Michelin Guide. In total, the guide includes 265 restaurants with 44 various cuisines.
"In its second year, the Michelin Guide American South continues to reveal the remarkable talent and diversity of the region's culinary landscape," Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, said in the release.
"As our anonymous inspectors continued to explore the South, they found not only exciting momentum in established dining destinations, but also exceptional restaurants in smaller communities and unexpected corners of the region. We are delighted to celebrate the talented restaurant teams recognized in this year's selection."
To achieve Bib Gourmand, restaurants must serve "great food at a great value," according to the release.
