Two massive jackpots are up for grabs with lottery players having the chance to win millions in Georgia.
There have been no recent winners in the Powerball and Mega Millions games, leading to $760 million and $463 million jackpots respectively.
The last Powerball jackpot was won on Aug. 12 after an Illinois player hit the $1.04 billion grand prize, according to game officials. There has not been a jackpot winner in the game's last 33 consecutive drawings.
"In the last week, this jackpot has gained momentum, and we've recorded an uptick in ticket sales across all participating lotteries," said Stephen Durrell, Powerball product group chair and Kansas Lottery executive director, in a news release published Friday. "Every $2 ticket has the same chance to win this massive Halloween jackpot, and that's what makes Powerball so exciting for players."
A player has not won the Mega Millions jackpot since July 28. A Bradenton, Florida winner scored $803 million.
It was the third jackpot victory of the year and the 10th-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, game officials said.
