Taco Mac Wins Atlanta Burger Wars

ATLANTA, GA -- The month of May proved to be one of accolades for Taco Mac, as the company racked up several major awards pertaining to its lineup of tasty items beloved by its customers.

The restaurant was recently named the Grand Prize Winner at the Atlanta Burger Wars, Best of Duluth Award, Best of Roswell Award and Best Creative Wing at the Brookhaven Slingin’ Wings Festival, the company said.

“Taco Mac is known for our award-winning wings and craft beer selection, but listening to our guests is always our best ingredient for success,” said Senior Director of Marketing Emily Beesley. “Our restaurant teams have been working hard to keep our guests happy with the food they crave and the sports-watching atmosphere they love, and those efforts have paid off in a big way through these recent accolades from our Atlanta community.”

Taco Mac has more than two dozens establishments around metro Atlanta, including locations Alpharetta, Atlanta, Canton, Cumming, Decatur, Douglasville, Duluth, Kennesaw, Roswell, Sandy Springs and Woodstock.

Atlanta Burger Wars took place May 6 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton. Some of the greatest burger masters were pitted against one another for a chance to compete in the World Food Championships while benefiting McDonough Arts and Speedway Children’s charities.

Taco Mac’s BBQ Blues Burger Stax won the Judge’s Choice award, which has earned it a spot in November's World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama. Taco Mac fans can view all the Burger Wars action when Food Network airs the event on national television in September and can try this burger at all locations beginning in August.

On May 20, Taco Mac took home two awards at the first-ever Slingin’ Wings Festival in Brookhaven. The restaurant’s lemon pepper dry rub won Best Creative Wing, while the medium sauce was runner up for Best Buffalo Sauce. The competition was stiff and included many other local restaurants and chains.

To top it all off, Taco Mac received the 2017 Best of Duluth and Best of Roswell awards in the local business category. Winning companies were honored for enhancing the positive image of small business through service to their guests and the Duluth and Roswell communities, making the areas a great place to live, work and play.
