• Two years later, Barrow County remembers Apalachee victims (mainstreetnews.com) — Winder is marking two years since the Apalachee High School shooting with memorial banners downtown and two community events focused on healing and remembrance. Residents are invited to Chalk the Walk at Jug Tavern Park on Sept. 4 and join the Ride Chee Strong gathering at Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy before a ride to the high school.
