1 Injured, 1 Charged In Brookhaven Plaza Shooting

Police say they have arrested a suspect after a 75-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in Brookhaven.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A 79-year-old man is facing charges after police say he shot and injured another man recently at a plaza in the 3800 block of Peachtree Road.

Brookhaven Police said the shooting happened on March 22 and injured a 75-year-old man in the abdomen. Police have not identified a motive in the shooting.

After releasing videos and photographs of a person of interest, police said they were able to identify Vesselin G. Tzvetkov as a suspect.

Tzvetkov was arrested Wednesday in the area of East Club Drive and faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said. He was being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
