City leaders also scrapped a planned multi-use path near Peachtree Golf Club after resident concerns, while still pursuing safer sidewalks and potential future bike infrastructure along Ashford Dunwoody and Windsor Parkway.

• Multi-use path eliminated from Windsor Parkway plan, but residents still aren't happy (roughdraftatlanta.com) — Brookhaven's City Council has dropped a controversial multi-use path from the Windsor Parkway roundabout project, but many neighbors still want the entire plan reconsidered, citing tree loss, cost, and property impacts. In the same meeting, council unanimously approved rezoning 4170 Ashford Dunwoody Road for a major mixed-use project with 320 apartments, restaurants, parking, and offices.

• 2 men sentenced after 700 pounds of meth found hidden in cucumber shipment, DOJ says (wdef.com) — A Brookhaven man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after agents found more than 700 pounds of meth hidden in cucumber boxes at a Gainesville warehouse. Prosecutors say he and a co-defendant planned to unload the shipment, and both will face a decade of supervised release after serving their time, underscoring the region's ongoing battle with large-scale drug trafficking.
