Baby Delivered, Burglar Caught by Brookhaven PD

Monday evening was all in a night's work for the city's finest.

According to the department’s Facebook page, two officers on Bravo shift responded to a call of a woman in labor around 9:45 pm. Officer Adams and Lt. Vanaman arrived ahead of the ambulance, and both officers assisted in a home delivery,

Just minutes later, around 10 pm, both officers then responded with several others to a burglary in progress.

“Thanks to two 911 callers with great descriptions, a perimeter was quickly established,” the department said. “Officers quickly located the offender in the woods and a foot chase ensued. But two blocks and a fence couldn’t stop Officer DiCicco, who took the burglar into custody less than 10 minutes after the call was received.”

The suspected burglar is also by Fulton County for a similar crime.
