Brookhaven Allowing Fireworks Until Midnight on July 3, 4
The city has extended the hours for fireworks not only for July 4 celebrations, but also on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Brookhaven, GA -- For the upcoming July 4th holiday, the city has extended the hours of fireworks celebrations, allowing fireworks to be set off until midnight on both July 3 and 4.
Under a new law passed in this year's General Assembly, the state reduced the times that fireworks could be ignited, but also allowed local governments to extend those times for certain holidays.
The city will also allow fireworks to be set off until 1 am on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

The Brookhaven City Council discussed the ordinance change at its June 21 meeting, according to the Brookhaven Post.
Fireworks can be set off anytime after 10 am on any day of the week, according to state law.
