Brookhaven Police Arrest Stolen Auto Suspect

Brookhaven, GA -- Police have charged Antonio M. Williams, 22, of Lithonia, with theft by receiving stolen property, loitering, and no license.

Brookhaven Police Officer T. Adams is credited with locating a stolen vehicle in the area of Childers Road and Buckhead Valley Lane and apprehending Williams who was in possession of that vehicle.

In the early hours of Saturday, June 18, 2016, Adams was on patrol in the Pine Hills subdivision due to recent criminal activity. He observed a white Subaru and another vehicle in the middle of the roadway. When he approached the vehicles to investigate, they sped away.

A check on the license plate of the white Subaru revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the city of Atlanta. Adams quickly caught up to the vehicle and requested backup, the suspect was arrested without any incidents.
