Brookhaven Police Explorers Win 1st Place in Competition

Only six months old, Brookhaven’s Police Explorer unit won a metro Atlanta-wide competition this past weekend.

According to the Brookhaven Police Department, the unit won first place in the Metro Atlanta Competition for Explorers “unknown trouble” event.

The competition was organized by the Smyrna Police Explorers, according to Reporter Newspapers.

Police explorers organizations are designed to give men and women between ages 14 and 21 a chance to learn about law enforcement careers by working directly with local police departments.
