Brookhaven Police: Get Your Dog on a Leash ... or Else

Brookhaven GA -- Brookhaven police will soon be more strictly enforcing leash laws throughout the city.

On its Facebook page, the department says that officers are preparing for stricter enforcement, which will begin in a few weeks.

The leash laws say that any dog on a public property, including all city parks, must be on a leash.

Officers will be begin issuing warnings for the first two weeks, followed by citations thereafter.
