Brookhaven Pooches Invited To Make A Splash At Doggy Dip Day

Brookhaven Parks and Recreation Department invites pooches to make a splash this summer at Doggy Dip Day.

The event takes place at Murphey Candler Pool, located along Candler Lake W NE, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, participants are encouraged to register beforehand, up to 15 dogs per hour will be allowed in the pool, and only two humans per dog are allowed.

Dog owners will only be allowed to wade into the pools up to their knees, and lifeguards will be present.
The time allotted for each dog is one hour, with timeslots every hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 per dog per hour. Participants are allowed to sign up for multiple hours, but will need to pay $10 for each time slot per dog. Pet owners will also need to sign a COVID-19 pool waiver upon arrival if they have not visited Murphey Candler Pool this summer.
“Doggy Dip Day is a wonderful Brookhaven tradition, and we appreciate everyone’s patience with the extra safety rules in place this year,” said Parks and Recreation Director Brian Borden.
Murphey Candler Park is located at 1551 W. Nancy Creek Drive.
