Chamblee Holds Ribbon Cutting In Village Park

The revitalized Village Park park features a multiuse field, community garden, large playground with seat wall and much more.

City of Chamblee: The City of Chamblee Mayor and Council invite the community to the International Village Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 3375 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, in Chamblee. The revitalized park features a multiuse field, community garden, large playground with seat wall, entertainment plaza, pavilion, renovated parking lot, lighting, fencing, park amenities and reforestation around the entire property.

Integrated Construction and Nobility, Inc. was awarded the bid to complete work on the park in April, and construction began in May. The cost to complete the park was $778,000, which included $150,000 from a DeKalb County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to complete the ADA improvements in the park.

All are welcome to celebrate the re-grand opening with the ribbon cutting at 5:00 p.m., followed by the movie, ”Toy Story 4” on the lawn. Free popcorn and bottled water are available while supplies last. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Parking is limited, however overflow parking is allowed across the street for this one time only.
