Chamblee Man Followed Home, Shot in Driveway

BROOKHAVEN, GA -- A Chamblee man was followed home from the Georgetown Kroger late Friday night and then was shot in the driveway of his Longview Way home.

Police say the man tried to fight off the two attackers and was shot in his thigh, where the bullet went through both legs.

The victim’s rental car, a white 2016 Audi A6, was stolen. The suspects were in a dark, full-size truck. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The stolen vehicle has since been recovered in Clayton County and has been towed to a local impound lot where Chamblee detectives will process the vehicle for prints and other evidence of the crime.
