Chamblee Police Officer Attacked By Fraud Suspect
The incident happened on Tuesday at the Chamblee Wal-Mart.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who attempted a fraud transaction at the Chamblee Wal-Mart and then attacked a police officer who tried to arrest him.
“Kermit Wardell Wyche attempted a fraud transaction at Chase Bank and Walmart,” according to a Chamblee police statement. “Upon an attempt to arrest him, Wyche fled the scene after striking one Chamblee officer (causing minor injuries) and hitting a parked car while attempting to elude capture.”
Wyche was last seen in a rental yellow 2015 Ford Mustang convertible with Florida plates, and with minor damage to the rear bumper with possible red paint transfer.
