City Of Brookhaven HUD Citizen Participation Plan Described
The goal is to ensure citizen input is integral to planning how funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development will be used.

As required by federal regulations 24 CFR Part 91.105, the City of Brookhaven (the “City”) has developed this Citizen Participation Plan (the “Plan”) to ensure citizen input is integral to planning how the City will use federal funds received annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). While income is initially anticipated to be majority via the Community Development Block Grant, this Plan is intended to apply to the City’s participation in any future HUD Programs, included but not limited to including the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Housing Opportunities for Persons with Aids (HOPWA), the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), the Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program or others where public participation, notification and reporting requirements must be met.
