Complete Spine Solutions Hosts Police Appreciation Day

BROOKHAVEN (October 13, 2016) – Members of the Brookhaven Police Department were welcomed by the Complete Spine Solutions team in its Brookhaven location for Police Appreciation Day on October 11, 2016. It was Complete Spine Solutions’ honor to offer complimentary services to officers dealing with physical pain.

After seeing the amount of gear the Brookhaven Police Officers’ wear and have to carry, it is no surprise the suffering their bodies endure to do their job. Officers were assessed with digital posture screens, and administered pain-relieving K-laser treatments and therapeutic massages.

“Our bullet-proof vests impact our posture, but are pretty important to wear,” says Officer Russell Davis. “When we can’t event sit or stand up straight, it affects our knees, back, necks and shoulders and we must push through this constant pain.”

Arriving throughout the day with their team members and partners, the officers remained on alert, rushing out when they heard sirens. “We’re never really off-duty,” admits Davis. The officers work 12-hour shifts, but are always on patrol.

“I feel excited to go to work and take on the day,” Officer Carlos Nino says after his morning treatment.

“I feel like I can run through a field now,” joked Officer Donald Chase.

The department was thankful to receive treatment, but it was truly humbling for Complete Spine Solutions to give some pain relief to those who keep the Brookhaven community safe.
