DeKalb County Man Gets Life in Prison for Raping Baby: Report

DEKALB COUNTY — A judge sentenced a DeKalb County man to a life sentence in prison for raping an eight-month-old family member, according to a media report

Jose Ambrocio Duarte was convicted of rape, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and three other charges stemming from an incident in December 2014, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Duarte had been babysitting several children, and when the parents returned, they discovered the baby had been assaulted, according to the Journal-Constitution. Brookhaven police responded to the scene, and he eventually admitted to them that he had committed the attack.

On Nov. 4, the judge sentenced Duarte to three life sentences, to run concurrently, AJC.Com reported.
