Brookhaven, GA -- Donors are needed for this Friday's American Red Cross Brookhaven blood drive.
The event is set for July 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at Brookhaven city hall at 4362 Peachtree Road.
The Red Cross said it has a significant blood shortage and is issuing an emergency request for eligible blood and platelet donors of all blood types. Blood donations are being distributed to hospitals faster than donations are coming in.
