Dr. Rebecca L. Sandidge Named New Chief Of Staff At Oglethorpe University
She will coordinate all presidential office operations and activities in support of institutional priorities.

President Nick Ladany announced today that Dr. Rebecca L. Sandidge will be Oglethorpe’s new Chief of Staff, a member of the senior administrative leadership team, starting February 15.
In this role, she will coordinate all presidential office operations and activities in support of institutional priorities and will serve as chief liaison to the Board of Trustees. Additionally, she will advise on policy, procedural and operational issues at the university and facilitate collaborative strategic initiatives and university-wide projects on behalf of the President’s Office.

Currently, Dr. Sandidge is the Chief of Staff for the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. In this capacity she manages strategic initiatives, key relationships, and special projects most salient to advancing the School’s priorities. She is also responsible for increasing corporate partnerships and works with departments charged with driving philanthropic and foundation engagement. She oversees the office staff responsible for the administrative and operational support of the school’s senior leadership team.
Prior to this role, Rebecca served as Associate Director of MBA Admissions at Goizueta where she was charged with achieving enrollment targets and strengthening the student profiles for the full time and evening MBA programs. Her work experience also includes positions at Emory University’s School of Medicine and The Ohio State University’s Multicultural Center and Office of Residence Life.
Dr. Sandidge is a graduate of The University of Georgia (BA, History; BS, Social Science Education; PhD, Higher Education) and The Ohio State University (MA, Higher Education and Student Affairs).
President Ladany also thanked members of the search committee: Dr. Carrie Mata, vice president for research and planning; Dr. Frank Pampush, assistant professor of business; and Asia Anderson, assistant director of career development.
