Decatur, GA -- Early voting begins Tuesday, July 5, for a handful of runoff elections in advance of this year's general election.

In Brookhaven, Alan Cole and Meagan Hanson are seeking the chance to run against new House District 80 state Rep. Taylor Bennett in November. Bennett is a Democrat, and won election to the seat formerly held by Mike Jacobs, now a DeKalb state court judge. Bennett defeated former Brookhaven mayor J. Max Davis to win the seat.

In House District 81, Republicans Jim Duffie and Lane Flynn are in a runoff to decide who will challenge state Rep. Scott Holcomb this fall.
