Pound the Pavement for Peter

Pound the Pavement for Peter, in memory of Peter Hopkins, is a fun event for everyone who would like to support an important cause. The festivities will take place RAIN OR SHINE, and there will be light refreshments, prizes and activities for children after the race. All proceeds for this race will benefit the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders, an organization founded to support the highly underfunded research for this disease and to enhance the quality of the lives of children and families struggling with this genetic disorder.

This year, Race Honoree is Jackson Jinright, the son of Angie and Travis Jinright.  Jackson is an amazingly sweet and happy 5 year old boy who courageously battles his Peroxisomal Disorder every day. He and his family are appreciative of your support and participation in this event and for the hope that it provides for Jackson and their family.

Registration opens at 7:30am and the race starts at 8:30am.  The course is a 5K / 3.1 mile loop around the Brookhaven neighborhood. Runners, walkers, and baby strollers are welcome! Refreshments and family activities will be provided at the finish line.
