Former DeKalb Official Pleads Guilty to Improper Credit Card Use

Clarissa Brown will repay the county more than $4,700 in misspent charges.

DECATUR, GA -- Clarissa Brown, a former assistant to DeKalb District Attorney Robert James, pled guilty on Thursday of misusing a county issued credit card for personal expenses.

Brown was ordered to repay the $4,763 she spent on car repairs, plane tickets and taxes, according to the AJC.

Brown, who was fired in November 2013, has also been ordered to perform 200 hours of community service and serve up to seven years on probation.
