Former Destiny's Child Star Arrested in DeKalb

DEKALB COUNTY, GA -- Farrah Franklin, a former member of Destiny’s Child, was arrested on public intoxication charges early Thursday morning.

Franklin was arrested around 3 am outside a Planet Fitness gym on Chamblee Tucker Road. Police arrived on the scene to find Franklin allegedly arguing with a man.

The officer reported that Franklin's speech was slurred, smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes, according to the AJC.

“I asked Ms. Franklin how much alcohol she had consumed,” the officer said in the report. “Ms. Franklin said, ‘Not enough.’”

A subsequent search of Franklin's belonging also revealed marijuana. Franklin was booked in the DeKalb County jail on public intoxication and marijuana possession charges.
