Georgia is 13th Most Heavily Armed State in U.S.
Wyoming is No. 1, but the least-armed state in the nation may surprise you.

Georgia is the 13th most heavily armed state in the nation, with 14.6 guns for every 1,000 Peach State residents.
While New Hampshire is tied with Georgia at No. 13, reports CBS News, Georgia has a larger number of individual guns in the state because of its larger population.

The network reviewed per capita weapons data for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, based on figures from the ATF’s National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record, as well as 2013 Census data.
Only firearms included in categories regulated by the National Firearms Act of 1934 are included.
