The Halal Guys To Open in Chamblee

CHAMBLEE, GA — After 25 years in business, the Halal Guys, a popular New York City food cart, will open a brick-and-mortar location in Chamblee.

This will be the restaurant's first location in Atlanta, the company said on Tuesday.

Known for their beef gyro sandwiches, chicken-and-rice platters and secret white sauce, The Halal Guys’ menu offers a mix of various American Halal food.

The restaurant already has locations in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Northern and Southern California. The Chamblee location will open this fall at 4929 Buford Highway, near the Canton House.

“I’ve never traveled to New York without a late-night stop at one of The Halal Guys locations," said Moynul Chowdhury, operating franchisee of the Chamblee location. “Having lived in the Metro Atlanta area for more than 20 years, I’m excited to bring New York’s popular beef gyro, chicken and falafel platters and The Halal Guys world famous white sauce to Atlanta.”

The Halal Guys aims to be different and encourage patrons across America to break out of their culinary comfort zone by experiencing something unique. They pride themselves on only using high-quality products like their chicken, which has never been frozen and is marinated and seasoned overnight, then cooked and chopped on the grill and served piping hot.
