How can you enjoy the holidays this year even more? Mindfulness reminds us that we all experience 10,000 joys and 10,000 sorrows, most often co-arising in our experience – this is universal. And it seems to be heightened for many people during the holiday season. Mindfulness teaches us that happiness is an inside job. We CAN cultivate more peace and joy even in the midst of chaotic, frenetic energy, long to-do lists, and sometimes stressful relationship dynamics. Sometimes we don’t have the skills or lack the tools to stay centered, grounded, and peaceful during this time. When we neglect ourselves and go headfirst into the stress, our health (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual) feels the impact. One saying that we have in Mindfulness is that “it’s never worth the cortisol” – cortisol being the stress hormone that is linked to a multitude of diseases.
Would you like to experience more calm and joy (and less stress) this holiday season? Join Angela Buttimer, MS, RYT, LPC, to learn how utilize the practice of Mindfulness to enjoy your holidays to the fullest! Give yourself the gift of peace and well-being this year and bring that presence into all that you do. The holidays bring exciting times as well as complexities - around activities, family, friends AND memories, grief, and loss. In this workshop, we will talk about several principles including honoring all of who you are and what the holidays bring, setting boundaries without guilt, letting go, self-care, authenticity, and increasing our happiness and health (mental/emotional/physical/spiritual)during this season.
