Hero Brookhaven Cop Pulls Woman From Wreck, Saves Her Life
Along with another motorist, Officer Lois Strong sprung into action early Thursday, as she was heading home after a long shift.
ATLANTA, GA -- Brookhaven police Officer Lois Strong lived up to her name Thursday morning.
Strong was off duty and heading home when Brookhaven police say she came upon an accident on I-85 southbound near the downtown connector.
A motorist had been struck by a tractor trailer, which caused the vehicle to burst into flames. Along with an another motorist, Hector Cisneros, Strong sprung into action and pulled the driver from the burning vehicle. Seconds later the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

"There is absolutely no doubt Officer Strong’s actions, along with the assistance of an unidentified good citizen, saved the woman’s life this morning," says a posting on Brookhaven Police Department's Facebook page.
