I-85 Bridge Collapse: DeKalb Schools Make Decision On Classes
Both northbound and southbound of Interstate 85 remains closed following a fire that led to a portion of the highway to collapse.

DECATUR, GA -- Much of the metro area was expecting Atlanta Public Schools to close up shop due to the collapse of the Interstate 85 bridge in Midtown.
However, it turns out the school system to the east has made the call to cancel classes.
DeKalb County Schools have decided to cancel classes for Friday, March 31, according to its Twitter feed.

The system's 12 month employees will have to report to work, however.
Atlanta Public Schools announced Thursday evening that it will operate on a normal schedule, despite the collapse taking out a huge chunk of the interstate.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of the interstate remain closed near Piedmont Road.
