Job Fair Held for Homeless Youth in Brookhaven
The Covenant House of Georgia and Brookhaven Rotary teamed up to host the event.
BROOKHAVEN, GA -- The Covenant House of Georgia and the Rotary Club of Brookhaven teamed up with local employers to provide homeless youth with career and interview coaching and connections to entry level jobs on March 1.
RCB enlisted Coca Cola, Costco, Cunningham Heating and Air Conditioning, Delta Security, Goodwill, Horizon Staffing, Lead2Legacy, Peachtree Tents and Events, Ritz-Carlton, and Staff Zone to participate in the job fair for 35 at-risk young adults.
Together they provided professional clothing, career and interview coaching, and job connections for attendees from Covenant House in an effort to arm them on the path self-sufficiency.

As a result of the fair, over a third of the individuals received follow-up interviews for entry level, career path jobs at six corporations. Covenant House will continue to support these homeless youth as they transition into temporary and permanent supportive housing.
