Lane Closures Scheduled Near Brookhaven, Midtown Interstates

One lane will close on I-85 northbound between the I-75/I-85 split and Buford Highway beginning Thursday night and running through Friday morning, according to the Georgia DOT.

One lane will close on I-85 southbound between the I-75 interchange and 10th/14th/17th Street exit.

Both closures will allow contractors to work on the Peachtree Street Bridge for the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District.

The work begins at 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, and runs through 5 a.m., May 20.

The lane closures are likely to result in delays. Motorists who travel in the area are advised to slow down and proceed with caution through this area. Workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the roadway.
