Louisiana Man Accused of Sexting With Brookhaven Girl

A Caddo Parish, LA, man is in jail on charges that he sexted with a 12-year-old Brookhaven girl.

Aaron Joseph Perkins, 18, is accused of using KIK, an instant messaging app, to send sexually explicit photos and images to the girl. Perkins was arrested on July 11 on three courts of pornography and one count of indecent behavior with juveniles, according to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's office.

Caddo detectives were contacted in May by Brookhaven police about an unknown local person who used KIK to contact the girl. She replied with messages but no images. The two did not know each other.

Local police identified Perkins as the suspect. They say Perkins also had child pornography images on a cell phone. He is being held in the Caddo correctional center.

Caddo Parish is located near Shreveport, LA.
