Man Robbed in Chamblee, Helps Police Catch Suspects

CHAMBLEE, GA — A man who was robbed in Chamblee overnight helped police catch the men who he says were behind the crime.

Chamblee police said its officers responded to an armed robbery shortly after midnight at the Buford Lodge. The victim told police he was robbed at gunpoint and that the suspects fled the area in a silver vehicle.

The victim followed the car and then called police, providing the suspect's tag number and direction. Police found the vehicle a short time later, which they found occupied by three men.

Police said the men left the vehicle and fled into nearby woods. They were later apprehended with the assistance of the Brookhaven and Doraville police K-9 units.

Chamblee police said the victim positively identified one of the men as the suspect who robbed him at gunpoint.
