Man Shot Waiting For Uber Outside Country Club
The man had attended a wedding in Brookhaven and was standing with a group of other attendees when a robber approached them, police say.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A man who had just attended a wedding was shot in the stomach early Sunday while waiting for an Uber driver outside a country club in Brookhaven.
The incident happened at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday outside the Capital City Country Club at 53 West Brookhaven Dr., according to Atlanta Police Department spokesman Officer Jarius Daughterty. He said a group of four people, including the victim, were waiting for their ride when a vehicle pulled up and a man got out, pulled a handgun and demanded their belongings.
After getting items from them, the gunman started heading back to his vehicle, but one of the robbery victims tried to follow him. That's when the gunman fired once, striking the man in the stomach. He then got in the passenger side of the vehicle and the driver pulled away.
